Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor, you'll carry out repairs and maintenance, planned and unplanned, on mechanical equipment in the Process Plant, Bore fields, Site Infrastructure and Village at our Leonora operations, on an 8 days on, 6 days off FIFO roster from Perth.

Responsibilities will include:

• Ensure plant and equipment is maintained at a high level of availability.
• Close liaison with Supply personnel on mechanical purchasing and inventory matters.
• Close liaison and cooperation with the Maintenance and Processing Shift Supervisors to ensure optimum equipment performance and availability
• When supervision is unavailable, complete new tasks according to the Maintenance Priority System
• Provide guidance to any Maintenance Contractors who may be working in the plant or other infrastructure
• Maintenance of Mechanical Workshop facilities and equipment in good working order
• Achieve Maintenance cost targets

About you

You are a motivated and technically capable professional with a passion for Mechanical Fitting. You thrive in dynamic mining environments, enjoy troubleshooting complex issues, and take a proactive, safety-first approach to your work.

You will also have:

• Mechanical Trade Qualification – Fitter
• Driver’s License (C Class, Manual Car), minimum
• HR (Manual) Driver’s Licence
• Demonstrated experience in the operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment commonly installed in process plants, in particular to gold plants
• Welding and hydraulic experience
• Good communication skills and computer literacy
• Working knowledge of Pronto (or similar)
