The Opportunity:

Join the team at Granny Smith Gold Mine and play a key role in delivering critical electrical infrastructure that supports safe, efficient, and sustainable mining operations.

As the Projects Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, execution, and delivery of electrical systems across a diverse portfolio of capital and sustaining projects.

Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will ensure all electrical installations are completed safely, on schedule, and in full compliance with statutory requirements and Gold Fields standards. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated engineering professional to contribute to the successful delivery of projects that drive operational excellence and long-term value.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the delivery of electrical capital and sustaining projects from concept and design through to construction, commissioning, and operational handover.
  • Provide technical oversight of electrical systems, ensuring designs, installations, and upgrades meet Australian Standards, site requirements, and operational objectives.
  • Collaborate with site teams, contractors, consultants, and vendors to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality project outcomes.
  • Support project planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and resource coordination to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Champion a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with statutory obligations, risk management processes, and Gold Fields HSEC standards.

What You’ll Bring

  • Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering with experience delivering projects in mining, heavy industrial, or mineral processing environments.
  • Post Graduate and/or Project Management Qualifications, WA Statutory Supervisor Qualification (Schedule 26) (highly desirable)
  • Proven experience in a similar electrical engineering/project delivery role, with a strong understanding of electrical infrastructure and power distribution systems.
  • Sound knowledge of Western Australian mining legislation, engineering standards, and safety management systems.
  • Current C Class Driver’s Licence and a commitment to safe, compliant, and high-quality project execution.
