About the Role We are currently seeking an Underground Mine Surveyor to join our team at our Narrabri Underground Operations. Reporting to our Registered Mine Surveyor, this is a hands-on, operational role that supports safe and efficient underground mining through accurate survey control and data management. You’ll be stepping into a role with a well-established technical group. What You’ll Do
- Conduct underground survey pickups, mark-ups, and other routine survey activities.
- Prepare and maintain accurate mine plans in accordance with operational needs and site standards.
- Deliver survey data and design files for use in machine guidance systems and technical planning.
- Ensure survey data is stored and managed in accordance with site procedures and applicable legislative requirements.
- Maintain and calibrate survey instruments and software systems.
- Work closely with other technical services personnel to support daily production and development activities.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in underground coal mine surveying
- Tertiary qualification in surveying or equivalent.
- Willingness to work towards registration as part of your career development (desirable)
- Proficiency in relevant software such as AutoCAD & Civil 3D.
- Experience using Trimble survey instruments, GPS, and total stations.
